for Foster Carers<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5ae6170 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5ae6170\" children in foster care is a significant commitment, which demands skills of understanding, responsibility, creative thinking as well as patience from the foster carer. It is a demanding task as our foster carers take responsibility, on a day-to-day basis, for the children who are usually not related to them and whom they have not known before. A carer must deal with a child\u2019s distress, worries and fear. For this reason, we have put in place an intensive support scheme for our foster carers.<br><br>\nFoster carers joining Acorn Fostering Services are expected to be resilient and to work hard in what can be difficult and challenging circumstances.
