\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAcorn Fostering Services is an Ofsted approved and registered independent fostering agency based in Leicester, providing fostering agency services throughout the East and West Midlands and Northern Counties.\n
\nOur aim is to always provide foster carers who can offer a sensitive approach to children. Due to people\u2019s life experience and Acorn\u2019s extensive support and training, our foster carers can meet the needs of all types of looked after children.
\nWe provide good quality foster placements for children and young people up to the age of 18 years. We believe that children deserve the best quality of care, which helps them deal with their changing circumstances.
\nProfessional Memberships \u2013 We are members of NAFP (The Nationwide Association of Fostering Providers and FosterTalk). We work closely with local authority staff in order to achieve better outcomes for the children placed with our carers.

\n Director Shadab is a qualified social worker with over 32 years post qualifying experience. He has an MA in social work and has worked in Local Authorities and the NSPCC as a manager before setting up Acorn Fostering Services in 2004. \n Lionel has 43 years\u2019 experience of working in the social care field, ranging from his early work with people with severe mental and physical disabilities and working and managing in older person\u2019s homes, working with children and families in a child care team. Over the last 25 years, Lionel has worked with children, in a child care operations team in various local authorities. \n Julie has 13 years\u2019 experience as a qualified Social Worker with Acorn Fostering Services. Julie started her social work career with Acorn in 2009, firstly as a Supervising Social Worker, then as Acorn\u2019s Recruitment Officer. In October 2015 Julie moved to the post of Placement Manager where she has been able to use her knowledge of our fostering households to inform the risk and assessment process when matching placements.
